Experienced Occupational Therapist

Full-time or Part-time | Bendigo/ Central Victoria

ABOUT THE ROLE

SELECTION CRITERIA

Essential
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution.
  • Registered as an Occupational Therapist with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  • Current Victorian drivers’ licence and own reliable vehicle.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide client focussed and comprehensive occupational therapy assessments and interventions regarding client’s occupational roles, performance and functional levels relevant to the community setting.
  • Knowledge of and experience working within a fee-for service model including NDIS, TAC, DVA, home care packages.
  • Ongoing commitment to development of skills and capabilities through continuing professional development.
  • High level of written and verbal communication skills.
  • A commitment to ongoing development of skills and capabilities.
  • The ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team with other service providers involved in clients’ care.
Desirable
  • Demonstrated knowledge, skills and experiences appropriate to a minimum of a Level 2/3 OT including competency to determine the occupational roles, performance and functional level of individuals, assess the occupational environment; establish therapeutic goals; devise appropriate intervention including therapy, equipment prescription and home modifications that will enhance function or safety; and plan
  • Well-developed interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Well-developed time management, organisational and planning skills.
  • Demonstrated experience in leadership roles and responsibilities including the supervision and mentoring of junior occupational therapists and undergraduate occupational therapy students.
  • Knowledge and understanding of working within a fee-for-service model including NDIS, TAC, DVA, home care packages.
